This time when I came to Shanghai to deeply punch in the old house on Huaihai Road, I directly set the foothold at Nanying Hotel Shanghai. The biggest feeling after staying for three days is that the convenience of transportation and surrounding areas is really more important than the decoration premium when I choose a hotel in wutong District. This store directly saved me one hour of commute time every day, so I don't have to detour to find attractions in the old city.
The geographical location of the hotel can be said to be the "location chosen by heaven" in wutong District. It is at 1728 Huaihai Middle Road. 400 meters away is the Shanghai Library subway station on Line 10. You can walk 6 minutes to the station. You can take the subway directly to Xintiandi, Yu Garden and other core attractions, without fear of traffic jams in the old city. The main road of Huaihai Middle Road is right outside the hotel entrance, and the response time for taking a taxi is particularly fast. It takes about 30 minutes to drive to Hongqiao Airport and Shanghai Railway Station, and there is no need to rush out two hours in advance to catch an early flight. Driving here is more worry free. The hotel comes with a paid public parking lot, which is located on Huaihai Middle Road where every inch of land is valuable. You don't have to take a half-hour detour to find a parking space, and the entry and exit are very smooth.
The density of surrounding attractions is unbelievably high. It takes only 10 minutes to walk directly to Wukang Building, without the need to crowd the internet celebrity check-in points. Walking there early in the morning can capture clean and deserted scenes. The former residence of Soong Ching ling, the former residence of Ba Jin, and the red street of Wukang Road network are all within a 1km walking circle, slowly swaying along the shade of wutong. All the way are well preserved small western-style buildings of the Republic of China. You don't even need to drive the navigation. A few steps can bump into an old building hidden in the alley. Walking 1.1 kilometers south is the Hengshan Road Scenic Area, which can be reached by cycling for 10 minutes in the Xujiahui commercial district. If you want to visit shopping malls or exhibitions, just lift your foot to get there.
Food, drink, and supplies are so convenient that there is no need to make a strategy. A few steps downstairs from the hotel is a chain convenience store. After browsing late at night, if you want to buy water and snacks, just take two steps downstairs. Within a 5-minute walk, there are several local restaurants and old Shanghai sugar and water shops that have been open for over a decade. You don't need to take a taxi to run to popular stores, just walk into any one and you will find authentic local flavors. The traditional Erdun hotpot on the first floor of the hotel allows you to enjoy authentic fresh lamb from the grasslands without leaving your home, and you don't have to travel long distances to meet up with friends.
During these three days of browsing, I hardly wasted any time commuting. All the attractions and old shops I wanted to go to could be covered by walking or riding a shared bike. I want to visit wutong District in depth when I come to Shanghai, but I don't want to spend time in traffic jams. Nanying Hotel Shanghai is really a good choice.Show more
